FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What if I am not good with technology?
That’s ok. We can do a lot to help you or you can have a child, a friend, or even a grandchild help (since these things come naturally to them).
What if I don’t like virtual estate planning, can I just get a traditional service?
Absolutely. So long as we can do the process safely and within government mandates for proper physical distancing, we can do part or all of your plan in person. We have offices in Kaysville and Salt Lake City and do home visits on a case-by-case basis where needed.
Is it safe to sign documents remotely?
Yes, in many ways it is actually safer as we go through a careful process of verifying your identity. It is important, however, that we take proper precautions to make sure you are competent and not being improperly influenced. If anyone is concerned that is happening, we will make the necessary adjustments to prevent that.
What technology do I need for virtual estate planning?
A computer, laptop, or tablet is required for the Delivery Meeting. Otherwise, a smartphone or even just a telephone will suffice.
Besides convenience, what are the other benefits of virtual estate planning?
There are many. Here are just a few:
- Scheduling is easier and quicker;
- We can easily include any number of key support persons wherever they live and no matter their circumstances;
- The process is faster and more efficient;
- The audio and video tools we use provide an excellent teaching and learning environment;
- The process eliminates the risk that illness will be spread, especially to vulnerable persons.
